Naval Encyclopedia is the first online warship museum, at sea from 1997, dedicated to the history of all ships, military or civilian, of the industrial era and 20th century, 1820 to 1990 and beyond, studying pre-industrial ships types or single ones as well, down to the antiquity. Mostly focusing on naval warfare through ships classes, chiefly WW1, WW2 and the Cold War, it currently forays into the Nineteenth Century and from 2026 is intended to cover more of civilian ships classes. The project is setup to end in 2030 but given its scope it will likely extend further. Future entries are opaque in the side menu. Part of the civilian aspects already had been covered, such as clippers, liners, oil platforms, naval tech in general, but also battles and tactics. Current version is # with last refits in 2023 and 2026, including this new logo.
